It is developed on a residential building with a historical character located at an apex of the historic center and in an emblematic point of the transformation that the 1992 Universal Exposition meant for the city, next to the access to the Isla de la Cartuja through the Puente de la Barqueta (Barqueta Bridge). Its immediate surroundings are made up of the Alameda, a space rehabilitated for Seville in recent years, the Basilica and wall of the Macarena, the old Hospital de las Cinco Llagas, now the seat of the Andalusian Parliament, and the entire old town, which for centuries has been accessed through the Puerta de la Barqueta. The building, which will respect the original facade, thus giving prominence to the traditional farmhouse of the environment, is organized around a central courtyard from where the entrances to the houses are distributed, forming an element of contrast with the tradition, from the new concept of the building.
